We had a great Thanksgiving weekend and hope all of you did too! I'm very thankful for lots of things in my life. When Mom asked me what I was thankful for I responded...my mom, my dad, even my sister, and dinosaurs. Don't you think everyone should be thankful for Dinosaurs? I thought so, so I'm wondering why mom gave me a strange look. We had two thanksgiving dinners. The first one, my grandma jackie and grandpa steve traveled to our house. I helped make lots of things for dinner including my new favorite thing to make, Rainbow Jello! I was as patient as a four year old can be to make this thing and I have to tell we did a great job! I helped make apple pie, I helped with the potatoes and I even set the table for mom! She let me touch the good dishes so I know I was being a really great helper.
On saturday we traveled to Tootsie and Papa's house and we ate more turkey! You would have been so impressed if you were at their house. There were eight grand kids and we all sat down to dinner at the same time and nobody even fussed! We all ate so well that all of the grown-ups ate way too much dinner because we didn't interupt the eating process! This is no small mission with 16 people at the dinner table!
Now the count down to Christmas begins! Dad has had a rule at our house that no christmas decorations can be set up until Thanksgiving. We were pretty good about this rule but after our first turkey dinner was over, out came the christmas tree and all of the ornaments! We've been busy the rest of the weekend pulling out the rest of the decorations! I'm thankful for turkey and all of the great fixings but I'm even more thankful that Thanksgiving is over so we can get to the holiday that I am most interested in!
