This morning when I woke, there was a note in the kitchen just for me...
Dear Mikey ~ Please be a good boy for Mom today. I will be at the Packer game so you will have to make sure that the Packer flag gets put outside for game day. I love you. ~ Dad
We did just that and MORE. We went outside in our jammies and put out the packer flag at 7:30 this morning. Usually dad and I do this so I had to show mom, the rookie, where things go! After the flag was up, the preparations for Game Day took on a whole new form. We were going to make sure that dad got a chance to see a winning packer game since the last couple of games he's been to the Packers were stinky! We hopped in the car and off we went to make sure the rest of the family had appropriate game day clothes. Mom got some new packer sweats, I got a new packer sweatshirt and Katelyn got a packer shirt too! Then we got all of the things ready for our own packer picnic. We made a sign and we "tailgated" (I even got to have my own soda!!) We watched the kick -off and we even did TOUCHDOWN dances as the Packers (the green guys, in case you aren't Packer fans like we are!) "made a score." We even yelled GET 'EM and held up our signs to the TV so the Packers could see we were cheering.
We knew we had done a good job of cheering on the Packers as they were winning at half time and we knew Dad was having a good time so we turned the game off and watched Diego! It was a fantastic day. I think Dad needs his cheering section every game day!
